Rareș Bogdan claims that the liberals will not leave the Government, even if no consensus is reached upon the date of the upcoming presidential elections. Mr Bogdan has said that the leadership of both PSD and PNL is comprised of responsible individuals, and they will not throw Romania into chaos.
Here are his words: “We have made many compromises, we have accepted many things, and probably, if there were no war, if we didn’t have the present economic situation, we probably wouldn’t have accepted what we did (…) PNL made concessions, such as accepting the measures in the fiscal package, alongside other things, but we did all of this to preserve stability.
PNL will never leave the Government, because we know that such a move would lead Romania into a deep crisis, and it would affect the attraction of money to the PNRR (the National Recovery and Resilience Plan). We are a responsible party.”
